Well, first of all, sorry for not writing in a long time, but I have been, as you can surely understand, busier than ever. Last time I posted I was in Madrid. I stayed some 4 days at Roberto and Raquel’s, visiting friends and eating like mad. I suppose I have gained a couple of kilos more by using the excuse: “let’s make the most of Spanish cuisine because in Japan I will miss it so much”. Hee, hee, what a feeble excuse to stuff yourself like a Christmas turkey!
I used those four days for preparing a few things I needed for Japan and catch up with friends I hadn’t seen for ages. I also did sightseeing in Madrid and Pozuelo de Alarcón, hiked in the hills of Monte de El Pardo, visited the Sunday market of La Latina, attended a classical music concert in Reina Sofía Auditorium, etc, etc. It was quite hectic but so good. And most important, I got used to big cities again, in preparation for Tokyo.
